A sketch of Ollie. I also thought I would post the result of my felting workshop last week, which was based on a painting, which was based on a previous sketch! I need to decide the best way to mount and frame this.

- My inspiration is heritage craft: I manipulate materials by scraping, scrubbing, twisting, weaving, beating, stitching, chipping, tearing and melting. I use an archaeological approach to investigate the layers of history: First I excavate and deconstruct traditional craft materials, then recombine them in unexpected ways to symbolise and emphasise their significance. In the process, I'm reconstructing and redefining myself.
